Samsung and LG smart TVs

Android TV and Google TV

What you need before you begin
- A compatible screen: a smart TV, streaming stick, Android box, phone, tablet, computer or MAG unit.
- A steady connection: 25 Mbps or more for 4K. Use an Ethernet cable where you can for big games.
- Your activation message: the username, password and server address, or the M3U link, from your WhatsApp chat.
- Ten spare minutes: ideally the day before a match, not at kick-off.

Getting your screen ready for match night
Once the channels load, a few extra minutes make big games smoother. Add your regular sports channels to favourites so they sit at the top. Find the HD copy of each one, so you can switch fast if the 4K feed stalls. Check that the programme guide shows today’s fixtures, and turn on hardware decoding if the player offers it.

Setup errors that trip people up
- Server address typed without http:// or the port. Copy it exactly as it appears in your chat.
- A hidden space after the username or password. Phone keyboards add one easily when you paste.
- Too many devices at once. If a stream stops when someone else starts watching, you have reached your plan’s device limit.
- An outdated app. Update the player before contacting support; many odd errors disappear.

Do I need a separate login for each device?

Should I choose the Xtream Codes login or the M3U link?
Choose Xtream Codes whenever the app offers it. It loads channels, guide data, films and series in one step and is easier to type on a remote. Use the M3U link for players that only accept a playlist address, such as Smart IPTV on Samsung and LG sets.

Why is the channel list empty after I sign in?
Usually the server address is incomplete. It must start with http:// and include the port number exactly as sent. Also check for a space at the end of the username or password.
